"Contemporary, flamboyant, fun and feminine", characterise Danish designer Ann Opstrup's beautiful crafted couture handbags.
Woven into these exquisite handbags are the colours and experiences gathered from her travels across Europe, Africa, the Far East and the Americas.
Ann was educated as a textile designer in Denmark, has an MA in textile design and is now living in England.
She works from a converted mill in rural Somerset, where she lives with her daughter and husband, who she met in an Andalucian mountain village.
Brought up in the City she gets enormous inspiration from living in the countryside. "Everything piles on top of everything else here, things grow in haphazard but beautiful ways. It's that element of natural surprise and delight I replicate in my work.
